How this works:

All you need is a community ready to learn and a $1500 setup fee to get started. Emu’s Online CPHT Crews will be hosted here on our Training Platform with your company/organization branding front and center. We will schedule our expert Trainers and help you build a community of building science geeks. Our registration widget can be embedded into your website, and each student is charged $700 directly. You don’t have to deal with anything except getting your community excited about building science. (*Please note that this reflects pricing for 2022. All bookings made after Nov 1st will reflect 2023 pricing.)

  • Do you have dates in mind? Ideally, we need 3 months lead time plus 6 weeks of online learning. Scroll down for our Scheduling Requirements.

  • Do you have enough members or employees ready to learn advanced building science online? Our Online Crew minimum is 15 students, and maximum is 35.

  • A $1,500 Setup Fee is required to get started, reserve time in Emu's schedule, and allow us to create registration links. The Setup Fee is not refundable, but you can earn it back by enrolling students.

  • For each student who enrolls, Emu credits you $100 as the Host. You can chose to redeem this as a commission, roll it into a membership bundle, or provide another perk for your community.

  • 1 month prior to the agreed upon Orientation Day, Emu will confirm if the 15 minimum has been met. If not, the Host may purchase the remaining tickets and continue to seek enrollments.

Scheduling Requirements

  • Setup the Schedule

    Once the $1500 Setup Fee is collected, we'll determine a schedule with an agreed upon Orientation Day. Typically this first live session will be 3+ months out, to give time for marketing and enrollment.

  • Verify Minimums

    One month before Orientation Day we will verify that the minimum enrollment has been met (15 people). If not, the Host may purchase the remaining tickets and continue to seek enrollments.

  • Orientation Day

    It's go time! On Orientation Day, all students will receive access to their on-demand content, and we will host a live Zoom session with our Trainer to orient them to the Emu CPHT course experience.

FAQs

  • How much is each student charged?

    The price of the Online Crew is $700 per student. That includes the on-demand 10 Unit CPHT Course, Emu's CPHT textbook shipped to the student's house, and 6 live online Q&A sessions with an Emu Trainer.

  • What if we want to cover a portion of the cost for members of our community?

    If you would like to cover a portion of the per student expense, or all of it for a limited number of students, we can set up a Coupon Code for you to distribute at your discretion. In this case, we would invoice you upfront for the amount that you would like to cover, and upon payment the Coupon Code would be delivered.

  • How can I offer multiple pricing tiers to my members, versus non-members?

    For each student registration, $100 is reserved for you to decide what to do with. Some hosts prefer to collect this as a commission. Some hosts pass the entire $100 on as a coupon code discount to their employees/members. Or you could set different price points with that that correspond to your organization's membership levels.

  • How does the CPHT Exam work?

    After your people have learned all the ins and outs of advanced building science in our CPHT course, they will be ready to take the PHI exam to become a Certified Passive House Tradesperson. For this, they will need to sign up directly to an Emu scheduled exam.

  • Can you also host an on-site Passive Pod Workshop?

    Yes! At the moment, we offer our entire 5-day Builder Boot Camp, which includes the 2-day Passive Pod Workshop. But if your community has enough interest in following up an Online Crew with a Passive Pod Workshop, we can discuss. Please contact [email protected]
